Payment reviews and point balances
Document revision: 2026-09-08.1
This notice explains how PanelLingo currently handles points when a payment is reviewed, disputed, refunded or reversed. It is separate from the refund terms and acknowledgment recorded for a purchase. It does not mean that an earlier checkout acknowledgment included this notice. The terms applicable to the original purchase and mandatory consumer rights continue to apply. Read our Refund Policy.
While a payment is disputed
We temporarily place a hold only on unused points attributable to the disputed amount from that purchase. Those points cannot be used while the hold applies. Points from other valid purchases and complimentary points are not used to cover that dispute. Other available points remain usable.
When the payment outcome is confirmed
If the dispute is resolved in our favor and the payment remains valid, we release the related hold. A separate confirmed refund or reversal affecting the same payment is taken into account, so points already removed for that refund are not restored a second time.
If funds are finally refunded or reversed, we remove the unused points attributable to the affected amount of that original purchase. We do not count overlapping refund and dispute adjustments twice.
No automatic debt or deductions from later purchases
We do not automatically turn points already used from that purchase into a debt, charge your payment method for a shortfall, or deduct the shortfall from a later point purchase. We do not remove points from another valid order to make up the difference.
When a payment needs manual review
Payment errors, incomplete payment records and unclear links between points and an original order are reviewed manually. We do not assume that your overall account balance belongs to a disputed order when we cannot reliably identify the relevant points. Contact support@getpanelpal.com if you believe an adjustment is incorrect.
These point adjustments are separate from deciding whether a monetary refund is due. They remain subject to the terms applicable to the original purchase and your mandatory consumer rights. This notice does not make an earlier purchase subject to newly added refund restrictions. Our Refund Policy explains change-of-mind requests, payment or service problems, and statutory rights.
